Small Garden Fence

Completed 10.15.21

A small garden gate for a sweet neighbor in Northside, Cincinnati.

They had an elderly pup that was bumbling into their flowers and getting caught up on the basement door and needed something small just to keep him safe.

Most of the fence is willow, though the heavier uprights at corners and the gate opening are apple wood from our orchard. They also needed a removable gate that slipped down into copper pipe buried to ground level in the center. I built the gate on the island in my kitchen. Someday, I’ll have a proper studio on the farm. . . *sigh.
