Good friends requested a willow arch for their wedding. What an honor.

So Abby Ahrens and I got to work harvesting wild willow from the banks of the Great Miami for the uprights and then wove in loads of varieties of willow from this year’s harvest.

The happy couple wanted something representing the place where they met (Carriage House Farm) and then our shared florist friend—Morgan Earley of Fern Gardens Flowers—used it to showcase all of the flowers that the couple’s community grew all year and then dried for the ceremony.

Every part of the wedding was beautiful and it was such a joy to get to contribute to the big day.

Completed 10.18.25.
